Sheriff's Office "Tip-line"
1-866-846-3592
In an effort to better serve the residents of the county, the Contra
Costa County Sheriff's Office has established a 24-hour toll-free
tip-line to report illegal or suspicious activity. Callers can also
provide information on any case or individuals posted on our
wanted page.
The service is available to residents in the unincorporated areas of
Contra Costa, those areas that fall under the jurisdiction of the
Sheriff's Office. "The tip-line gives people the ability to provide
information that they otherwise would not," said Sheriff Warren E.
Rupf. "We want to reach out to the residents and provide them with
another avenue to contact the Sheriff's Office."
The tip-line, an answering machine, is strictly for non-emergency
law-enforcement calls. Anyone with an emergency or who wants an
immediate police response should dial
9-1-1.
The tip-line is well suited for residents of a neighborhood who may
want to report any criminal activity happening in their area. The
residents are familiar with their neighborhoods and will know when
things appear to be out of the ordinary or suspicious.
Appropriate action will be taken when a call come in on the tip-line.
All callers to the tip-line can remain anonymous.
For more
information on the tip-line, contact Captain Dale Morrison at (925)
313-2691 or Lieutenant Kitty Parker at (925) 313-2692.
