Bay Station is staffed by one Lieutenant, five Sergeants, 35 Deputies, and one Community Service Officer. It serves unincorporated West Contra Costa County - Rodeo, Crockett, Port Costa, North Richmond, East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Tara Hills, Montalvin Manor, Rollingwood, Bay View, and Bayo Vista. The total population in these areas is about 60,000 people.

Bay Station is proud of its' Resident Deputy program in Bayo Vista, Crockett, and North Richmond. Resident Deputies are dedicated to specific areas. They are relieved of beat responsibilities, in order to focus on quality of life issues and concerns of the community, such as code enforcement, abandoned vehicles, crime prevention, and litter enforcement and removal. Resident Deputies also develop partnerships and relationships with key individual and groups in the community to solve problems.
