The Danville Police Department has 38 employees who proudly serve the 44,000 residents of Danville. This dedicated group consists of 30 Officers, and 8 Professional Staff. In addition, there are 4 Reserve Police Officers and 20 Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) who help deliver law enforcement services to the residents, businesses, and visitors.

The department is organized into the following specialized units and teams, staffed by both sworn and professional staff: Administration, Patrol, Investigations, Traffic, and Youth Services.
