Money for inmates will only be accepted in the following forms:

• Money Orders
• Cashier's Checks

Personal checks or cash will result in the envelope and all its contents being returned to sender.  Money orders, cashier's checks, and traveler's checks must be made out to the Office of the Sheriff, and the inmate's name and booking number must be on the front of the check.

Any money order or cashier's check not made out to the Office of the Sheriff, or not containing the inmate's information will be sealed in the inmate's property.  If the inmate is released, the money order or cashier's check shall be returned to sender.

Credit cards and debit cards will only be accepted by the following methods:

• Kiosks located in the lobby at Martinez and West County Detention Facilities
